Blah!

  • Jun. 11th, 2009 at 7:19 PM

Okayy..I don't know what to post but I'll give you something on what I did for the two days..
For these two days, I've been going out to watch movies!
Yesterday and Today, I watched Angels and Demons and Terminator respectively..
First time in life that  I've been quite updated with movies!
I've watched Star Trek, Night at the Museum, Sell Out, Monsters vs Aliens 3D, Angels and Demons and Terminator:Salvation.. Only left with 17 again! But dunno when only can watch it..

For a long time, I have set the date to finish my Pharmacy Practice assignment within these three days..But with the going out and the tiredness, I barely have time to do it.. I don't know when I can finish it.. This kills me.. But then again, I really needed the break from the stuff in my head..

I am having a big dilemma with which camera to buy..
The Canon which is a compact camera or the Panasonic Lumix which is a Semi Pro camera..
Both has it pros and cons, the Canon is just like a normal digital camera but it produces high quality image however, the Lumix is like a DSLR in a rather smaller version but I read reviews that it produces poor image quality.. I really don't know which one to choose.. Help!

For now, will try to go read some stuff to increase my knowledge to write the essay!

Here's something that I feel relates a lot to me now,

The Climb by Miley Cyrus

I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it"

Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking

But I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on

'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Somebody's gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith, baby
It's all about, it's all about the climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith, whoa

Another Post!

Tiring day!
After brunch of Ampang Yong Tau Foo.. Family and I went to the Orchid/Hibiscus farm where there were lotssssss of prettyy Orchids and Hibiscus..Had lots of fun playing with the DSLR! [Not very good at it though! Need lots of practise!] That place however was congested with humans! There were many tourist sites there like the farm, the butterfly farm, the bird park, the planetarium and the national monument..
Forgetting that today was a public holiday 8 of us including my cousins, embarked on that journey and come to find that there were so many people there, local and foreign alike..hahahaaa.. I thought Msian people would take their kids for school holiday overseas!
Anyway, I was pretty excited about going there since I love naturee! And I rarely go to any tourist site in Msia! How pathetic rite? heheee..
I must admit that the weather was freakingggg HOT! And I would like to thank my mummy for coming along knowing that she will melt off! (She doesn't like the hot weather!) and to all those who came along too terima kasih! heheee..

Here are some pics:

It takes years to just load a picture here! heheee..
So three onlyy..Most likely will post it on muka buku =P

In All!

So here is my story about the Extemporaneous class test!
It was the most horrendous test I've ever sat!
How can we actually finish 2 products is 2 hours? Even if superman were to do it, I doubt he can complete it! =P
I cant imagine what would happen for the final Extemporaneous test! 3 products in 3 hours! apa lahh! mana boleh siap!

Apart from the ridiculous class test, I've been busy with the Convo mag preparations..
Owhh well, I barely have time for my own essays! Holy crap! Pray for longer hours in a day and a less tiring me!

Anyway, here are pictures of what my cousin cooked when she came down!
(Honestly, I'm running out of topic to write and I'm pretty lazy and tired by the time I get home, leading to lots of backdated topics and pictures)
Yummyyy!

(L-Pie tee, R- Mee Rebus)

She cooked everything!

Currently playing with a dslr that I just borrowed from my uni.. freaking cool but then again not like I'm going to own one anytime soon..
Here are some shots (not that professional la) :

Nowadays, there aren't any tv series to follow..Most of the seasons are over! Till Sept then watching frenzy begins! =P

At the moment watching tennis! Federer is playing now! Hopefully he WINS! Go Federer!

Hmmm!

This semester, my focus is on Ecstasy!
Don't worry I'm not going to take it to release stress..
It's just a topic from my assignment..
They come in many different colours and designs, its no wonder why youths these days actually consume it..

[ For safety precautions, I shall cite where I obtain the pictures..They are all Google-ed!  =) ]
They missed one very important picture, the Mortar and Pestle so that pharmacists can take it too! (Pharmacist friendly =P )

On the other hand, we can't really conclude that the colours and designs are the one that attract them from taking it..
But they are rather cute! It really brings out the happy mood in you, don't they?
I'm no where finishing it, more like I barely started..
Tried to read the resources which were given to us by our lecturer but it end up turning bad! It turned into longer hours on Facebook..

As for updates for the MQs (2+2 people), the travel agent came to see us for the second time to inform us regarding the visa applications and our flights to Glasgow.. So I'll be leaving in September if everything goes well..
Do keep me in your prayers so that I can pass my End of Semester..
My load of finishing this course is getting heavier and heavier as the month of September approaches, people are already preparing for my departure as if I'm already guaranteed able to go.. Some even talked like I am going to graduate soon!
Helloooo People, I hate to disappoint you but I'm not that smart.. It's just a scary scary feeling!
I myself am wishing that I can go too!

I have a lot of deja vus lately! It's scaryyy! Is it normal to have it so often??

On the other note, I miss NATURE!
I miss the big blue sky with fluffy clouds, the large amounts of greens and a vast open space of water!
But I hate the HEAT! People, it's global warming! Please do your part as creatures of this planet ! Thank you! =P

Semester Four!

  • Apr. 28th, 2009 at 1:51 PM

Exactly one week and two days now since classes begin..
To be honest, I'm actually feeling the pressure already.. Not from the boring lectures but assignments and what I need to do..
Mathematics is not not not my favourite subject..And I totally despise it! And now in this Sem it is coming to haunt me.. =(
This is BAD.. But on the good side, this semester, MQ students; those 2+2 students have one subject less to study!
But then again, we have to study that subject the next semester in UK..

IMU Cup this time around, I doubt I'll be taking part in it..

Sad life, here I come!

BLah!

  • Apr. 18th, 2009 at 1:31 AM

Was bored with the old layout of my blog so I decided to change a new layout..
This is the best out of all that I saw..
A change for the new semester  =)

Semester 4 is round the corner, part of me just feel like I'm tired of studying..
Even with the 1 month semester break I still feel like it is not enough..
Yes,there is still a long way to go with my studying life..I really don't know how to explain the feeling..
At this moment, I need to focus more on my studying and less playing..
All work and no play makes Mel a dull girl.. =P Let the dullness begins.. hehehee..

Lets end with a few quotes:
In three words, I can sum up everything I've learned about life; it goes on. - Robert Frost.
All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. - Ralph Waldo Emerson.
All dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. - Walt Disney.

A Lil Something

  • Apr. 17th, 2009 at 11:56 PM

So its been a week now since I got my results..
I'm through to the next semester! In other words,I passed!

Apart from that I was suppose to blog about lots of things but ended up I barely posted anything..
Its just that everything needs explanation and pictures which takes a pretty looooooooong time to load onto my blog!
But today I'm going to put some of the few pictures up without long and elaborated explanations..

Malaysian Studies Project P108
Day 1

Day 2

Cute-ness =)

Most of the pictures are on Facebook la..
Having trouble uploading the pictures here..

Finally!

  • Mar. 29th, 2009 at 12:20 AM

It may not be one of the most informative post but I guess I got to put something here..
A comment did say that I forget my blog for too long already.. So I'm partially back! hahahaa..

I wanted to blog about the orientation, the pharmacy bazaar and the malaysian studies project but to blog it now seems to be kinda long long time ago..
I'll try to at least sum it up for each of the event..

Will start with the most current event that just finished which is the End of Semester exams!
I guess, after every EOS I will feel like I could have done better during the preparation period and just hope that I pass..
Now this time, I just totally went blank even before going into the exam hall..It is not a normal thing to happen to me..
But I guess shit does happen..Went into the exam hall worried and blank and came out with the same feeling but with a multiplication of 100 times..  Confidence for the next paper usually decreases as the days goes by..  Even the night before the exams, burning midnight oil is what I want to do but I can't because sleeping late will kill my brain cells for the next paper.. It makes me even more guilty to not study study study..
For a particular paper, I remembered it clearly.. I totally don't know how to answer the question and I didn't want to leave it blank so I attempted the question..Guess what, I had shit luck that day..Already was bad enough that I have to shoot the answer..AND I shoot correctly but shoot for the wrong term.. Even the beggar could have better luck than me by getting pennies.. Darn it !! For now, I don't know what else to do but just to hope and pray that I can get through this HUGE obstacle to get to the next Semester..

Currently having semester break, it seems to me to be a short one..
I've been spending this pass week by watching shows..
But starting next week would most probably read through my notes again
Then the following week, the results will be out and then I hope it will be alright..
After that,the resit..

So the current show I'm watching is The Gem of Life!
A Hong Kong series of 82 episodes..
And slowly falling in love with Moses Chan! He is soo freaking bergaya! *grins*  =D

Trying to finish it fast to move on to the next series..hahahaa..

Oppss!

  • Mar. 4th, 2009 at 11:01 AM

I totally forgot that I have a blog to update..
Hopefully, I'll update soon! =)

Back to studying! =(

Glimpse of Orientation!

  • Jan. 21st, 2009 at 11:33 PM

Have been a very very tiring week..
Been sick (and still sick) and having exams..

I'll introduce the different groups here then maybe later when I'm free-er I'll post it day by day of the orientation =)
Their task actually is very very easy only..Each sub-com(mittee) can give out one task..
So I asked them to take a picture with me and bring me an Orange pen..soooo easy =)

Here are the pictures:
I can't remember the orders of the group...

Group 1: Super Sexy Stalkers

(P/s: We're not bf and gf)

Group 2: Lollipop

Group 3: Why

Group 4: Pee-a-Poop

Group 5: Dynamitez

Group 6: Bimbo Chics

Group 7: Anything

Group 8: Wasabi

All 8 groups are above...
Of course not all joined orientation..
Of course there are some that joined IMU later..

More to come later on..

After the one week of orientation, everything seems to quiet down..

P109 Orientation!

  • Jan. 10th, 2009 at 11:48 AM

P109's Orientation has just begun!

Yesterday was the first day..

Orientation is all about flower aka flour, garlic water and chinese black ink!
Team cheer, team spirit and team unity  =)

It was serious running last night with the camera taking pictures of the orientation..
I've never run so much ever since playing volleyball last time..
Before the next event, I need to SLEEP more!
I took about 400 ++ picturess! hehehee..
Love love love the DSLR!
However,
My right hand can't seem to grab or press anything hard at the moment..Like tak ada strength..
Most possible reason is because the camera was to heavy and I was holding it and clicking it all night..
As for my left hand, it feels like a current going through it everytime I touch the camera to position it..
Possible reason is either static or current from the battery is flowing out..

Few favourite shots of last night (with the DSLR) :
* all pictures are taken by me! *

P/s: I know very few pictures but better than none  =P
Anyway, yesterday was just the first night only..
More pictures will be taken and will choose a few for the sneak peek again  =P (I don't know if it makes sense)

Is It Too Late?

First Post for 2009!

  • Jan. 1st, 2009 at 7:50 PM

To usher in the New Year, my family and I had a party with our family's friends..
So pretty much didn't do any countdown...
And I did not get to see Fireworks! =(

There were lots of kids there..
I guess, the youths were entertained by them..
Other than that we just eat eat and watch movie: Pirates of the Caribbean..
That's pretty much it..hehehee

Today morning when for mass and then lunch with Claire's family..Even though we just celebrate NYE together..haahaaa..
Went out with Han and Calvyn to watch Bedtime Stories...Very very funny..I think the bad part was that we sat second row from the screen..
As for now, there is nothing I'm doing other than just doing my Foundation Pharmacy..

New Year's Resolution:
1. Score much better in class test, EOS and the one and only practical exam..
(Not aiming to score like genius in my batch, just improve from my past results)
2. Be more consistent with studies..
(Can only try my very best)
3. Enter University of Strathclyde..

So far I could only think of this few...
Maybe there is more but I think it does not need to be posted up..

Happy New Year!

Last Post for 2008!

  • Dec. 31st, 2008 at 3:06 PM

weeeeeEEEeee~

2008 is coming to an end in 9 hours time!
And on New Year's eve,I have to attend classes! Damn! Seriously terrible...

One year pass so quickly..
I could still remember just sitting for SPM in 2006..Rushing for tuitions,Having so many tuitions in one week..madness..
But now I'm in uni already..

Recap:
People do say that PMR is not important, but I think if you don't score for PMR you won't get into Science Stream (regarding me) and you won't get to study anything with Health Sciences..And people also say that SPM is not important, but they are wrong..No good results for SPM means no possibility of entering Taylors' (College that I wanted to go since I was young)..Then I took SAM, cousin always say "must score for SAM if not don't dream of IMU" (another thing that I wanted when I was small)..Now I'm in IMU,my next step is to get into University of Strathclyde and that can only be done if I pass my 4 semesters here in IMU..I finish 2 semesters here already another 2 more and then, I can enter..
Studying life is all about results after results..

In one whole year,
I have accomplished many many thingss...
Some memorable ones and some really horrible ones..
Owhh well, that actually sums up life (I guess)..

1. Learned lots of stuff!
        a) Sports : darts, pool (not really a sport), volleyball, football (know how to watch)
        b) Knowledge : Cells, Organ System Drugs, Bacteria and cool lab works!
2. Meet new people all from different walks of life..Also made more friends..
3. Becoming a second year student even though have only been in IMU for ONE year..How cool la..hehehee..
(The explanation: Dalam satu tahun at Strathclyde ada dua semesters but sekarang I dah dalam Semester 3 so year 2 student)
4. Been given an opportunity to hold positions:
        a) The secretary for the Pharmacy Club, IMPAC
        b) Secretary for the Health Promotion day Committee (A bigger event)
        c) Publicity and PR for our Malaysian Studies Project which is another bazaar..
            (Holding the post with Kelvin)
       d) Photographer for P109 Orientation
5. Being able to learn to use the DSLR (which I don't even owned) but I haven't really master
the photography skills of ISO,Shuttle Speed and a few others..And be more creative with styles
    and angles.
6. Drive to uni alone =)

I guess that's about it..If there is more I'll update the list...hahahahaa..

Anyway,
At the moment there aren't any New Year's Resolution yet..Shall think of some soon..

2009 has lots of departure of friends especially secondary schoolmates.. =(

Tomorrow is 2009!

Merry Christmas!

  • Dec. 26th, 2008 at 2:32 PM

  Happy Christmas!

It's Monday!

  • Dec. 22nd, 2008 at 12:38 PM

I'm HOME on a MONDAY!
woohooo!

kinda happy that I don't have to go for classes..
Have been waiting for a very very long time for this break..
It's just too much to cope in class, new theories, new bombastic words, new ENGlish-inDIAN (ENG-DIAN) language..
Not only that, having to go for classes in December is a first for me..
All this time, November till the beginning of January is HOLIDAY..

Christmas is coming!
yayy!

English!

  • Dec. 21st, 2008 at 11:03 PM

If you have Astro,do watch the show Mad About English on Discovery channel!
It's not only funny but you get to see the determination of the Chinese citizens to learn English as their new language for the Beijing Olympics 2008..Since they won the bidding for the Olympics, the chinese government encouraged people there to learn English..
From the age of 11 to the age of 74 picked up the English language..
Even cabbies and chinese doctors pick up the language and sit for a test, if they fail, they are not able to work..
For them learning English is all about giving back to their community and as an advantage to talk to foreigners..
How many of us would actually do that?
Their sheer determination enables them to excel in their language though it's not as perfect as the English or American people but it is really a step forward..

They put their heart into something and excel in it and give their all to get what they want..
This is the difference between us and the Chinese people..

Twilight!

  • Dec. 7th, 2008 at 12:06 AM

Bolt
I watched bolt yesterday with my cousin..The 3D version of it...
Super cool..looks more real compared to the last time I watched the 3D movie (Journey to the Center of the Earth)
It's cute, funny at certain parts and little of emo part.. =)

Twilight! Baby Twilight!

Great storyline -Checked!
Great phrases -  Checked!
'Kan Cheong' moment - Checked!
Handsome main actor - CHECKED!

I quite like the storyline too....
very very unique..

I'm in love with Edward Cullen (the character & the actor too)!
The things he does and say to the Bella very very sweet.. *faint*
He portrays a very cold look but gives out a very very safe feeling when you're around him...
One thing is for sure he is a freaking hot dude.. = )

Didn't expect Robert Pattison to be the dude from Harry Potter..

New mission during Semester break is to read all the books from Stephanie Meyer.. =P

Random shots!

At the moment,my whole batch are busy with the orientation for the juniors...
Owhh well,it actually marks that we have already been in IMU for a year now..Damn!That's fast!
